Left Coast Crime is an annual event sponsored by fans of Mysteries to provide a venue where readers, writers, librarians and other fans gather to share their mutual interest in the genre.
Left Coast Crime 22 will take place in Sacramento, California on March 29 - April 1, 2012. The convention’s theme, MINING FOR MURDER, is a nod to Sacramento and the surrounding gold country, both of which have appeared in numerous books, cinema and TV mysteries.
We are expecting over 400 attendees from around the world. The convention will feature panels of experts speaking about mysteries and thrillers, writing novels, and other topics of interest. LCC 22 will host an award banquet to recognize outstanding books, authors and fans. Over 200 mystery and thriller authors will be in attendance, along with representatives from publishing companies and booksellers, and there will be an onsite book room selling current and hard-to-find editions. The convention will also host a live and silent auctions with all proceeds donated to the Sacramento Public Library Adult Literacy Program.
LCC 22 has two Guests of Honor: New York Times Bestselling authors John Lescroart (author of DAMAGE and the Dismas Hardy series) and Jacqueline Winspear (author of the Maisie Dobbs series). Special Guest: New York Times Bestselling author James Rollins (author of the SIGMA Force novels). The Fan Guest of Honor will be Noemi Levine.
