Auction

On June 13, 2010 · 4 Comments

We’ve been looking at auction options for the convention:

only a silent one
a few items at the awards banquet
a live auction outside of the banquet.

What’s your opinion? I’ve heard from a few of you, but would like more input before making a decision.

Again, I’ll leave this up for a few days. Please let other people know so they can voice their opinions. I’ll give extra attention to LCC 2011 attendees.

Thanks,

Pari

I like both the silent auction and a few items at a live auction at the awards banquet. Not too many so it doesn’t run too late!

    Thanks, Sandy.

If we do a live auction at the banquet, it’ll be 4-6 items at the most. We’ll probably have it immediately following the ceremony — at least that’s what I’m thinking right now . . .

At LCC in LA I really enjoyed the auction at dinner. It generated a lot of laughs and made it even more fun. So I say a few at dinner, and a silent auction for most of the items.

    Pat,
We have to see what’s offered. If we have a few — meaning that magic 4-6 — that are wonderfully, marvelously huge, we’ll auction them at dinner. Otherwise it’ll all be silent.

I know that people are at the awards dinner mainly to hear who won the awards!
