BTW: If anyone watched last week’s GREAT FOOD TRUCK RACE on The Food Network, it was filmed in Santa Fe –some scenes in the Plaza actually show our convention hotel, La Fonda, in the background. You can find Episode 2 online, so I won’t link here. But the chill in the air? Think Santa Fe in late March.

I do know that it’ll become more vital as we get closer to the convention. For it to be really effective, the conversation needs to start now. Heck, we’ve only got a little more than six months before this baby hits the runway.

Why not test your NM knowledge? We’ll both learn something in the process and might have fun while we do it.

I hope to ask a different question every day. That’ll be, um, let me get my caluculator here . . . around 180 or so. Should be doable.

Here’s the first one:

What’s the difference between “adobe” and “abode?”

We’re very excited to announce our Friday night program. We’ll start the evening with a brief opening ceremony that includes introductions, acknowledging all the awards nominees — the basics. And . .. we’ve booked the Ice Mountain Dance Group from Okhay Owinge Pueblo (formerly known as San Juan Pueblo) with wonderful young dancers who will be sure to delight you.

After dinner on your own, thriller writer David Morell will introduce an episode of the television show Route 66 that was filmed in Santa Fe. He’ll be on hand to answer questions and to talk about how watching the very first episode of Route 66 changed his life.

We haven’t set the exact times yet, but wanted you to know the skinny so you can plan to be in town for both.

Or, better yet, get here on Thursday in time for the evening program with Anne Hillerman that I wrote about in my last post.
